How to Apply
Entry to BDC is by audition only. Ability, talent and potential is assessed and prioritised over any vocational or academic achievement. The College actively encourages applications from a wide range of backgrounds and promotes diversity and equality in everything it does. Great importance is placed upon the ability and potential of each applicant and this is thoroughly assessed through the audition process.
Auditions are held throughout the academic year, starting in the autumn term. Application for audition is made on-line by clicking the link below.
Fees & Funding
Tuition for 2020 entry – £7500 per annum
After you have accepted your place on the course, we’ll request a £300 non-refundable deposit to secure your place. The remaining tuition fee is payable at the start of the academic year. Depending on your funding arrangements, a monthly instalment agreement may be available.
For students that are coming from further afield, it may be appropriate to stay with a host family during the week (Monday – Thursday night). We have a list of possible host families with prices ranging from £15 – £25 per night. Whilst many of these families have successfully hosted BDC students in the past we would highly recommend getting a DBS check when decided on a potential match. Final arrangements for accommodation are dealt with directly between host family and student. There are certain uniform requirements for the course, however we endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
Through our working partnership with Midsomer Norton Sixth Form, all students aged 16 to 19 years, studying the BTEC Extended Diploma are entitled to academic funding, which will be deducted from course fees.
It is our belief that training should be accessible to all students and we are pleased to be able to offer additional talent scholarships. Funding is determined following the audition process and awarded to students that show exceptional talent and potential.
